About the role
Shape your future in a role that blends operations, Customer leadership, and commercial accountability across quarrying and construction sites in Victoria and Tasmania. You’ll own day-to-day safety leadership, contract delivery, site organic growth, and operational execution, ensuring safe, efficient, and effective service to our Customers while building strong relationships on site.
This role can be located at either Deer Park or Melbourne.
What you will be doing
- Leading safe operations and team capability — Driving infield activities in line with SHES policies, coaching and developing site teams to maintain high competence and safety performance.
- Delivering demand and operational excellence — Overseeing end-to-end demand fulfilment, monitoring DIFOT and tonnage performance, and conducting site reviews alongside Customer demand planning and forecasting.
- Optimising assets and resources — Maximising utilisation, availability and security of assets, and managing capital planning for sustenance and replacements.
- Building and developing high performing teams — Ensuring teams are motivated, skilled and trained, with succession and performance management processes are in place for key roles.
- Driving customer and commercial outcomes — Managing Customer relationships through business review and development meetings, identifying business development opportunities, and overseeing bids, contracts, invoicing, compliance and budget controls.
What you will bring
- 5+ years’ operations management experience in a manufacturing/technical environment, leading small to medium work groups;
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (frontline management postgraduate desirable).
- Integrity and trust; courage and sound decision-making; resilience and flexibility; strong team orientation.
- Forecasting, asset planning, contract management, and stakeholder engagement skills across multisite portfolios.
