About the role
We’re seeking an experienced Maintenance Planning Superintendent to join our site leadership team at Deer Park. This role is critical in ensuring maintenance planning strategies support safe, reliable and efficient plant operations.
Reporting to the Site Manager, you’ll lead a diverse planning and engineering team and work closely with operations and maintenance execution to ensure high‑quality maintenance plans, strong schedule compliance, and sustained asset reliability.
This is a day‑based, Monday to Friday role, offering the opportunity to make a real impact while maintaining work‑life balance.
What you will be doing
- Lead and develop a maintenance planning and engineering team, setting clear expectations and supporting capability growth;
- Own maintenance planning, scheduling and shutdown preparation across site assets;
- Work closely with operations and maintenance execution to ensure plans are safe, realistic and well prioritised;
- Drive continuous improvement across asset reliability, work management and planning maturity;
- Contribute to maintenance budgets, capital planning and asset improvement initiatives;
- Champion safety leadership and compliance with Orica systems and standards.
What you will bring
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance planning, reliability or asset management within an industrial or manufacturing environment;
- Leadership experience within maintenance, engineering or planning functions;
- An engineering degree (mechanical/electrical) or a relevant trade background supported by strong planning experience;
- Experience using maintenance management systems (SAP desirable);
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and decision‑making capability.
