About the role

 
We are delighted to announce that we are looking for a Maintenance Specialist: Electronics to join our team at the Chambishi Project, Zambia.
 
 
In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering maintenance plans and schedules that optimize maintenance efficiency and maximize the uptime of electrical and electronic plant equipment. Working closely with operational teams, you will ensure reliable maintenance execution and contribute to achieving our key objectives across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. Your expertise will play a vital role in supporting operational excellence and driving continuous improvement across the Product Line.

What you will be doing

 

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate all electrical/electronic maintenance activities, including preventive, predictive, corrective, online, and offline maintenance work.
• Execute maintenance tasks on electrical and electronic equipment, including inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and performance optimization.
• Review maintenance notifications, prioritize work orders, and prepare weekly maintenance schedules for approval to ensure efficient resource utilization.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in SAP, develop task lists, and ensure timely closure of work orders in line with reliability standards.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs, maintenance costs, and compliance requirements while supporting budget control and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams, superintendents, and subject matter experts to improve equipment reliability, optimize maintenance strategies, and ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards.

Your qualifications

 

• Diploma in Instrumentation, Industrial Electronics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical, electronic, or instrumentation maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of maintenance planning systems (preferably SAP), preventive maintenance practices, and troubleshooting of electrical/electronic equipment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and planning skills, with a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
