About The Role – 33670 - US Finance Business Partner
We are excited to announce an opportunity at Orica for a Finance Business Partner on the North America Finance team, focused on partnering with the commercial business. This role will be operating as the key business finance interface, providing insight into underlying performance and driving accountability for results across the management team.
This position will report to the Centennial, Colorado office four days a week.
What you will be doing
• Deliver strategic financial insights and timely analysis to guide leadership decisions and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Drive a cash-focused operating discipline by engaging stakeholders, monitoring performance, and delivering clear, actionable recommendations.
• Focus daily efforts on high-impact, results-driven activities by proactively partnering with the business to identify solutions rather than reacting to issues.
• Proactively perform analysis to better understand key business drivers and recommend actions to improve performance at an operational and or contract level.
• Support the preparation, development and review of new business and capital investment proposals.
• Provide customer and product profitability analysis and partner with operational stakeholders to optimise commercial outcomes.
• Lead the financial planning processes including monthly forecasts, annual budgets and longer-term plans, by actively working with key stakeholders and ensuring input and outcome make financial and commercial sense.
• Support monthly accounting and financial close activities. This includes ensuring product pricing and costing that drives profitability are flowing through results properly. Troubleshoot issues and take corrective action, including but not limited to appropriate journal entries.
• Leverage benchmarks to drive cost & process efficiency improvements
• Educates stakeholders on financial performance and key drivers for improvement.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.
What you will bring
• 5 years post graduate experience in accounting or finance (or related discipline)
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business
• ERP expertise in SAP highly preferred
• Big 4 accounting experience is a plus
• Proven financial management experience
• Strong leadership skills and change management skills
• Proven influencer, able to manage processes across multiple stakeholder groups
• Solid financial acumen & budgeting experience
• Experience in a large, global business is preferred

Salary to be determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Compensation Range
· $103,125 - $144,375
· Eligible for annual short-term incentive plan
