About the role - About The Role – 35801 - Strategic Partnership Lead (Centennial, CO)

 

We are excited to announce an opportunity at Orica for a Strategic Partnerships Lead within the Orica USA team. This role is instrumental in supporting Orica’s strategic joint ventures and commercial initiatives by managing the full lifecycle of contracts, ensuring compliance, and facilitating effective partnership execution. The ideal candidate will bring strong contract management expertise, commercial acumen, and stakeholder coordination skills to help drive financial growth and operational excellence.

What you will be doing

 

•    Strategic Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, customers, and joint venture partners to support business growth and partnership objectives. 
•    Contract Administration: Oversee the full lifecycle of joint venture agreements, including execution, monitoring, compliance, risk mitigation, dispute resolution, and documentation management. Ensure all parties fulfill contractual obligations and adapt to changes throughout the contract term. 
•    Commercial Pipeline Oversight: Manage the commercial pipeline for assigned area, encompassing existing, greenfield, and competitive accounts. 
•    End-to-End Commercial Process: Lead the commercial process for contract renewals and new business opportunities, ensuring adherence to internal approval protocols. Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders during bid management, including the development of briefing materials, financial models, and proposals. Analyze the competitive landscape and alternative pricing to align Orica’s value drivers with customer needs.
•    Financial and Strategic Planning: Responsible for financial modeling, account planning, and bid management for designated accounts. Utilize tools such as GQOMS and Ariba to support commercial activities. 
•    Product Differentiation: Promote Orica’s value-added products, including digital and WebGen offerings, to differentiate the company in the marketplace. 
•    Forecasting and Demand Planning: Lead forecasting and demand planning efforts for the assigned accounts, ensuring accurate projections and resource allocation. 
•    Project Leadership: Direct and manage regionally strategic projects that drive business growth and innovation.

What you will bring

 

•    Minimum 8 years experience post professional qualification, with a strong background in contract administration and commercial strategy.
•    Demonstrated ability to influence and manage processes across diverse stakeholder groups. 
•    Proven skills in building robust business-to-business relationships. 
•    Financial acumen and experience in budgeting. 
•    Familiarity with SAP, Concur, and Ariba is advantageous but not required.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills

Role dimensions

 

•    Must be open to reporting to the Centennial office at least three days a week.  
•    No direct reports, individual contributor.

Compensation Range 

•    $103,125 - $110,000 USD per year
•    Eligible for annual short-term incentive plan
