About The Role – Source to Pay Specialist (Centennial CO)
The Source to Pay Specialist will be responsible for managing the Company’s sourcing activities (sourcing, demand planning, supplier relationship management, PO Scheduling, distribution network) for its Continuous Spend categories, including raw materials and finished products, with a focus on ammonium nitrate and ammonium nitrate-related products.
As coordinator of the ammonium nitrate network, the Specialist – Source to Pay will execute the supply plan delivered by Planning with all the ammonium nitrate vendors and including the inputs from L&D, Procurement and Commercial areas, ensuring product is supplied to customers across the Region in a timely manner, and manage the exceptions when products are not available in full.
As a member of Orica’s North American Supply group, the Specialist – Source to Pay is critical in driving, implementing, and embedding the significant amount of change required to improve functional capability and deliver substantial cost savings. In addition, this role will provide category management for Direct Spend vendors (e.g. supplier’s/competitors, ram materials, packaging suppliers, etc.) while ensuring successful implementation of Global Corporate category initiatives. This role will also act as the central point of contact for strategic projects in the region that require Sourcing and Procurement representation. This role will report to the North American Sourcing Lead but liaise with Global Category Managers and Leads and business stakeholders to assist in global implementations and ensure alignment in goals and objectives.
What you will be doing
• Ensure compliance with Orica’s safety, health, and environment, and Procurement policy and governance including in utilising preferred suppliers list.
• Coordinate all activities related to the ammonium nitrate network, monitor the execution of the Supply Plan and manage any contingency with the ammonium nitrate vendors.
• Report execution status of Supply Plan to Commercial Team and relevant stakeholders.
• Executes sourcing processes ensuring outcomes meet or exceeds business requirements.
• Work with key Orica stakeholders to prepare monthly volume nominations and shipment scheduling to ammonium nitrate suppliers in a timely manner fulfilling contractual obligations.
• Keep constant and fluid communication with ammonium nitrate suppliers in order to identify risks to the supply (e.g. plant outages, distribution disruptions, strikes, etc.) and adapt supply plan accordingly.
• Support the resolution of risk events in order to ensure continuity of supply.
• Maintain product prices (consistency, system updates) as indicated in supply contracts.
• Oversee import / export process; ensure relevant documentation is provided to key stakeholders for the import / export of ammonium nitrate.
• Supports the timely resolution of quality claims and ensures that the products comply with the contracted technical specifications.
• Maintain a deep understanding of current suppliers, contracts and compliance with contractual clauses and obligations. Conducts scenario, should cost, benchmark and/or other types of analysis
• Maintain accurate database of suppliers and key stakeholders (internal/ external)
• Maintain all relevant vendor and material master data related to the sourcing of the continuous category
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and relevant teams (Planning, L&D, Procurement, Excellence, Commercial and Marketing) and stakeholders the timely execution of the supply plan.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation solutions with key ammonium nitrate suppliers.
• Execute end-to-end sourcing processes ensuring the outcomes meet or exceed business requirements and are fully aligned with Group Standards; prepare, distribute, collate and analyse RFx processes
• Improve overall regional competitiveness by reducing Total Cost of Ownership while at the same time ensuring security of supply and reliability.

What you will bring
• Mining, Oil & Gas, Industrial, and other relevant B2B Marketing industries
• 2 years+ experience in Supply Chain / Sourcing
• Some experience in an Administration, Procurement, or Accounts role
• Knowledge SAP and ARIBA for Source to Contract
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerBI is a plus
• Must be able to pass pre-employment medical checks

Compensation
• Salary $89,700 - $115,000 USD
• Eligible for annual short-term incentive plan
(Salary to be determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
