About The Role – 38179 - Senior Manager - Planning (Centennial, CO)
We are excited to announce an opportunity at Orica for a Senior Manager - Planning within our North America Supply Chain team focused on managing the stability of manufacturing plans and inventory management.
What you will be doing
• Drive smooth operation of monthly S&OP process, taking into consideration compliance with timing
• Inspire the regional planning team to achieve outstanding results through planning excellence
• Mentor and coach the planning team to develop them into planning experts
• Manage risk and make critical decisions related to supply disruption and ensure assurance of supply for all Categories
• Oversee ongoing recommendation and monitoring of network optimization strategy based on demand and supply
• Manage supply planning for manufacturing plants
• Foster and maintain fluid and constructive communication with key stakeholders in the region and globally
• Input and analyze cost savings initiatives as well as other continuous improvement activities affecting procedures and processes for Supply Chain Optimization
• Ensure Stability of manufacturing plans by driving minimization of risk with unplanned changes to plant production through S&OP output
• Support Inventory management by ensuring the right level of stock in the right locations and eliminating redundancies in the system
• Work to drive inventory targets
• Input to rolling 12- or 24-month plan and budget
What you will bring
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in logistics, supply chain, transportation or a business-related field
• MBA preferred
• Minimum 10 years of experience in supply chain.
• Advanced knowledge of internal processes and policies, or ability to rapidly acquire same.
• International experience preferred.
• Extensive line management in a variety of roles and environments.
• Proven ability to build a collaborative approach in the development of the direction and operations of the workstream.
• Proven influencer, able to manage processes across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Stakeholder management, including C-level: ability to operate effectively at both the strategic and operational level.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, including prioritization, planning, task delegation, and coordination across multiple teams.
• Demonstrated skills associated with building strong vendor and/or customer relationships.
• Financial acumen & budgeting experience.
• Able to build structure in ambiguous situations and establish best practices.
• Knowledge of SAP applications for planning, transportation, warehousing and inventory
• SuccessFactors, Microsoft Excel experience
• Possess unquestioned reputation for integrity, ethics, personal values and solid character
• Show courage to make decisions, yet be patient to make the right ones
• Model resilience and flexibility; adapts well to new circumstances and adversity

• Leading a team of about 15-20 regionally dispersed employees

Compensation Range
• $139,575.00 - $190,000 .00 USD per year
• Eligible for annual short-term incentive plan
(Salary to be determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
