About The Role – 33397 - Lead - Underground Delivery Systems (Centennial, CO)

 

We are excited to announce an opportunity at Orica for a Lead - Underground Delivery Systems within our Orica USA Operations Services team focused on engineer/project management for the underground equipment build program.


This role will manage the full lifecycle of underground equipment build programs across North America. This is a high-impact role that blends engineering expertise, project management, and stakeholder engagement to deliver innovative solutions in a dynamic, global environment.

What you will be doing

 

•    Lead the delivery of underground equipment projects from concept to commissioning.
•    Manage project planning, budgeting, procurement, and performance tracking using SAP and project management tools.
•    Collaborate with carrier manufacturers to integrate Orica equipment.
•    Support capital funding approvals and drive continuous improvement across the underground equipment function.
•    Ensure compliance with safety, engineering, and procurement standards.
•    Engage internal and external stakeholders to build a robust project pipeline and deliver customer-focused solutions.

What you will bring

 

•    Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or Chemical preferred).
•    At least 5 years of experience in project management, ideally in mobile equipment builds.
•    Strong technical leadership across geographies and cross-functional teams.
•    Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project (or similar), AutoCAD, SolidWorks; SAP experience is a plus.
•    Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
•    Project Management certification and multilingual capabilities (French or Spanish) are a plus.

Role dimensions

 

•    Must be open to reporting to the Centennial office at least three days a week.
•    One direct report; manages contractors and suppliers.
•    Works across multicultural regional teams and global engineering groups.
•    Physical requirements include moderate physical stress, occasional lifting (up to 40 lbs.), and travel (domestic and international).

Compensation Range 

•    $89,700 - $120,000
•    Eligible for annual short-term incentive plan

(Salary to be determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
