About the role
We are excited to announce a new opportunity with Orica for a Procurement Coordinator, focused on supporting procurement operations by coordinating sourcing activities, maintaining supplier records, tracking orders and contracts, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies to enable efficient and effective purchasing processes.
What you will be doing
- Supports procurement activities by coordinating sourcing processes and maintaining supplier records.
- Assists in data collection and basic analysis to support procurement decisions.
- Prepares documentation and reports for procurement meetings and supplier reviews.
- Tracks purchase orders, delivery schedules, and contract milestones.
- Maintains accurate supplier databases and assists with onboarding new vendors.
- Coordinates with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant procurement activities.
- Supports the execution of sourcing events and contract renewals.
- Assists in monitoring supplier performance and reporting on service levels.
- Helps communicate procurement updates and changes to relevant teams.
- Ensures compliance with Orica’s procurement policies and preferred supplier usage.
- Contributes to continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies.
What you will bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain coordination.
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments is an asset.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- French or Spanish language skills are an asset.
- Ability to work 3 days/week at the Carseland Manufacturing Center.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the procurement function.
- Accredited Supply Chain Association, an asset.

Salary to be determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
