What you will be doing

 

  • You will drive accountability for regional financial performance and provide expert financial support across the business;
  • Deliver analysis, visibility, and insights into underlying business unit performance to inform decisions;
  • To partner with leadership teams to support decision-making, target setting, investments, and performance improvement;
  • Translate strategic and operational plans into budgets and forecasts that enhance delivery and results;
  • To conduct strategic financial analysis, including portfolio reviews, margin improvement opportunities, and cost reduction initiatives;
  • You will perform contract reviews, tender modeling, and scenario analysis to guide pricing, capital investment, and operational decisions;
  • Lead month-end close activities and maintain ongoing dialogue with the business to answer queries and ensure alignment with corporate strategy and KPIs.

Experience

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Business;
  • A professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CPA, or CIMA) or currently in the final stages of completing one;
  • 5+ years of post-graduate experience in accounting, finance, or a related field;
  • Experience in mining or manufacturing is a plus;
  • Familiarity with SAP modules (such as BPC, BI Hana) and HFM would be an advantage;
  • With strong understanding of accounting standards and principles.
