About the role
We are extremely excited to announce a newly available position for a Trainer Assessor - South East Metals based in the Central West, NSW.
Operating on an 8/6 roster with occasional need to be flexible, the Trainer Assessor – South East Metals will travel to various Orica and Customer sites conducting operational and safety training and issuing statements of attainment to all assessed and applicable.
Given the broad geographical locations of these sites, a moderate to high level of travel is expected of the successful candidate.
What you will be doing
- Safety will be your number one priority, always;
- Managing the site-based component of Orica's obligations as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO);
- Conducting group, classroom and 1-on-1 training sessions with a range of stakeholders, both Customer and Orica;
- Ensuring training is completed in line with National, Operational, Safety and Group Standards;
- Clearly communicating training plans and schedules with Orica Site Managers to cascade to Orica employees;
- Regularly updating relevant compliance reporting databases and spreadsheets;
- Continually auditing employee training plans to ensure they comply with minimum standards.
What you will bring
- Must hold or be in the process of upgrading to TAE 40116 is essential;
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is desirable;
- 5+ years’ experience in a training related or training delivery role;
- Sound computer literacy i.e. Word and Excel is desirable;
- A current National Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one;
- An energetic, engaging, and positive personality with clear verbal and written communication;
- Knowledge of Orica operations, plant, machinery, products, and services is advantageous;
- Experience working in a field support environment;
- A MR license would be required;
- Willingness to regularly travel, often to remote locations.
