About the role
We’re currently seeking a Site Supervisor to lead our on-site teams, plant operations, and ancillary equipment at the Newmont Cadia site. This role is critical in ensuring our operations meet service level agreements, corporate standards, and regulatory requirements. You’ll also be responsible for implementing Orica’s SHES (Safety, Health, Environment, and Security) protocols.

The position operates on a 5/2 roster and offers a competitive salary package of approximately $170K. A tool-of-trade vehicle will be provided for local candidates.
What you will be doing
- Leading and motivating a team of skilled Blasting Professionals and Operators to ensure safe, efficient service delivery on-site.
- Supporting the Territory Manager with data-driven insights and continuous improvement strategies to reduce operational costs.
- Overseeing recruitment, training, and retention of team members.
- Managing daily scheduling, raw material orders, and preventative maintenance to meet customer requirements.
No two days are the same in this role. Success requires adaptability, strong decision-making under pressure, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
What you will bring
- A strong commitment to safety—our top priority;
- Previous experience in underground mining or heavy industry;
- At least 3 years in a leadership role with operational, team, and customer responsibilities;
- Knowledge or experience in Drill & Blast operations (highly desirable);
- Solid financial and commercial acumen;
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with internal and external stakeholders;
- NSW Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one);
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
