About the role

 

 

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Trainer/Assessor to support the Snowy 2.0 Project at the Lobs Hole site.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality operational and safety training to Orica personnel and project stakeholders in a dynamic, site-based environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring  compliance with training standards while supporting safe and efficient operations on one of Australia’s most significant infrastructure projects.

What you will be doing

 

  • Prioritising safety in all training delivery and site activities.
  • Managing site-based training requirements in line with Orica’s Registered Training Organisation (RTO) obligations.
  • Delivering engaging training sessions, including group, classroom, and one-on-one formats.
  • Ensuring all training aligns with National standards, operational requirements, and Orica safety standards.
  • Developing and communicating training plans and schedules with site leaders and stakeholders.
  • Supporting workforce capability development across the Snowy Project.

What you will bring

 

 

  • Must hold or be in the process of upgrading to TAE 40116;
  • 5+ years’ experience in a training-related or training delivery role or Orica operational;
  • Sound computer literacy i.e. Word and Excel is desirable;
  • A current National Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one;
  • An energetic, engaging, and positive personality with clear verbal and written communication;
  • Knowledge of Orica operations, plant, machinery, products, and services is advantageous;
  • Experience working in a field support environment;
  • An HR license would be advantageous;
  • Willingness to regularly travel.
