About the role
We are delighted to invite applications from Underground Maintenance Technicians (HcD) to join our Mining Services Team based within the Central West NSW region.
Our Hypercharge™ units are incredible pieces of machinery which are used to load blast holes with explosive chemicals, predominantly in an Underground mining environment. Our Hypercharge™ Technicians are highly skilled and mechanically minded individuals who are responsible for providing maintenance and reliability for these charge up systems (Hypercharge™ Units).
This position has a wide range of accountabilities; therefore, the incumbent will have a sound knowledge of Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical technical disciplines relating to fixed and mobile plant.
Preference will be given to applications from within the Central West NSW Region .
What you will bring
- Minimum 3 years’ experience maintaining mobile/fixed plant is essential;
- Previous underground operating experience is essential;
- Previous exposure to Orica systems and processes is desirable;
- Sound knowledge of the mining industry is desirable;
- Ability to effectively lead and train small groups;
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal;
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to obtain a NSW Security Clearance (explosives)
- Ability to obtain Police check
- MR driving licence desirable but not essential
- Forklift licence desirable but not essential
- Working at heights desirable but not essential
