We’re on the lookout for Orica’s next Site Supervisor to lead our operations based in Cobar, NSW, working on a 5 days on/2 days off roster. This full-time, permanent role offers the opportunity to oversee not just the Cobar site, but also multiple sites across the region, driving performance, safety, and service excellence.
As Site Supervisor, you will be at the forefront of our operations, managing Orica teams, plant, and equipment in line with service level agreements, corporate standards, and regulatory requirements. You’ll ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and community (SHES) standards, implement Orica’s checkpoint and quality programs, and build strong relationships with our valued customers.
Reporting to the Territory Manager, you will lead a high-performing team and play a key role in delivering on our customer promise – safely, reliably, and efficiently.

What you will be doing
- You will lead safe operations by managing safety programs and ensuring compliance with regulations;
- To build strong customer relationships and deliver reliable, high-quality service across sites;
- Run daily site activities including inventory, equipment checks, training, and scheduling;
- To help improve how we work by driving efficiency and encouraging a culture of excellence;
- You will manage budgets and costs while identifying ways to add value to our operations;
- To keep sites audit-ready by maintaining accurate records and taking action when needed.
What you will bring
- Experience working with dangerous goods or in heavy industry (mining experience is a plus);
- Understanding of Permit to Work systems or Clearance Authority processes;
- A valid driver’s licence;
- Basic mechanical know-how and familiarity with equipment maintenance;
- Comfortable using SAP, Microsoft Office, and other operational systems;
- Good knowledge of industry regulations and safety compliance standards.
