About the role


The Storeperson plays a vital role in supporting warehouse operations at GroundProbe's Windsor facility in Brisbane, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, allocation, and dispatch of materials and products. Working closely with the Supply and Production teams, the role is responsible for managing inventory, picking materials for production orders, and preparing customer orders for shipment while maintaining accurate stock records and inventory control. This role is going to be on a temporary, casual role.

This position also contributes to the smooth operation of the warehouse by identifying when stock needs to be transferred to offsite storage and assisting in the coordination of inventory movements. The successful candidate will help maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized warehouse environment while supporting the timely delivery of products to both internal and external stakeholders.

What you will be doing


The Storeperson is responsible for supporting the efficient day-to-day operation of GroundProbe’s Windsor warehouse by ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and movement of inventory. This includes unloading and inspecting incoming deliveries, verifying shipments against purchase orders, identifying any damage or discrepancies, and monitoring incoming stock to support production requirements. The role also maintains accurate inventory records through stock organization, labelling, cycle counting, and updating warehouse documentation to ensure inventory visibility and operational efficiency.

Working closely with the Supply and Production teams, the Storeperson plays a key role in fulfilling both customer and production orders by picking, packing, labelling, and allocating materials in a timely manner. The position also supports production activities by issuing and finalising production orders, communicating inventory shortages or potential production blockers, and ensuring stakeholders are informed when deliveries arrive. In addition, the Storeperson is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment, conducting equipment checks, and operating warehouse equipment safely while adhering to GroundProbe and Orica health and safety standards.

What you will bring

 

  •  Basic secondary education or equivalent. 
  • Experience in storeroom, warehousing, logistics, or equipment handling is desirable but not essential. 
  • Forklifting license is a requirement
  • Ability to follow instructions, check details accurately, and handle tools and parts carefully.
  • Experience assembling or packing kits. (preference)
  • Familiarity with basic testing or inspection of tools or components. (preference)
  • Exposure to inventory systems or stock control processes. (preference)
