About the role

We are currently looking for an experienced Specialist - Warehouse & Distribution to join our fantastic team based in our beautiful office at Windsor, QLD. This role is reporting to Lead - Warehouse & Distribution.

The successful candidate will coordinate warehouse & distribution activities, ensuring best practices in road and vessel transportations to lower cost, minimise safety and security risks, and reduce lead time in supply. 

The role will work closely with the Business Management, Supply Chain, Transport Carriers and Manufacturing teams to be the trusted partner of choice for our customers.

What you will be doing

• Execute the monthly plan working with Manufacturing teams, downstream businesses, and third parties dispatching requirements in a timely manner;
• Help coordinate market intelligence and knowledge to establish industry-leading practices for safety improvements;
• Plan and execute vessel import and export movements within the Queensland region.   Work with the team to find improved efficiency and productivity of warehouse operations and processes;
• Ensure compliance with regulations for products delivered to customers;
• Work alongside internal and external teams to identify and promote efficiency improvements along the supply chain.
• Ensure operational and site SAP system processes are effectively utilised to maintain efficient and timely inventory movements;
• Provide information, instruction, training and supervision to Distribution and Warehouse personnel.

What you will bring

• This role is ideally suited to individuals with at least 4 years of experience in transportation or warehouse operations;
• Must hold or be able to pass relevant state and/or territory security checks required for certificates and/or licences to handle SSAN and/or explosive products;
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain or any business-related;
• Working knowledge of regulations relating to transportation and warehouse operations ideal; 
• Excellent communication skills.
