About the role
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Specialist Global Health with the Orica Group SHES (Safety, Health, Environment and Security) Team.
The Senior Specialist Global Health will support the Senior Manager Global Health in leading improvements in Health performance across Orica. Collaboration with other roles within the Global and Regional SHES (Safety, Health, Environment and Security) teams and operational resources will be an essential element of this position.
What you will be doing
- Align all behaviours with Orica’s Charter Values, Purpose and Strategy.
- Support compliance with global regulatory requirements related to Health.
- Provide health subject matter expertise and support to SHES Specialists and Operational Leaders.
- Experience with designing and implementing psychosocial risk management frameworks in large organizations.
- Experience with risk assessment methodology for the management of health hazards.
- Experience with designing and implementing robust and risk-based fitness for work programs guidance and tools.
- Design, develop and review Health Standards, Group Procedures, guidance material and training.
- Provide subject matter expertise and contribute to the health assurance program.
- Maintain a professional, proactive and constructive working relationship between the Regional Business and the regulators.
- Maintain Health master data and analytics for Orica, including Health risk bowties, health material risks and health major hazards and key controls.
- Monitoring of internal and external Health issues, trends and opportunities.
- Any other activities deemed appropriate by Group or the Region.
What you will bring
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant health discipline, such as Allied Health, Occupational Hygiene, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years’ industry experience, preferably within manufacturing and/or mining environments.
- Sound knowledge of health regulatory frameworks, SHES management systems, and SHE assurance and auditing frameworks.
- Extensive experience in conducting and facilitating risk assessments.
- Strong verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to influence, engage, consult, and build relationships with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain trusted, collaborative partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- High standards of personal integrity, ethics, and professional conduct.
