About the role

 

We're pleased to be recruiting a Senior Advisor – Employee Relations & Compliance to join our Australia Pacific People & Culture team, based in Brisbane or Kurri Kurri.

As the region's dedicated Employee Relations specialist, you will partner with the business across a diverse operational and corporate workforce to navigate complex people matters with confidence, fairness and care. You'll support to lead employee relations case management, workplace investigations, and performance and conduct matters, while helping leaders build capability and confidence in managing people issues effectively.

Beyond day-to-day casework, you'll identify trends, strengthen frameworks and documentation, and drive practical solutions that improve employee experience and reduce organisational risk.

What you will be doing

 

  • Manage complex employee relations matters across the Australia Pacific region;
  • Lead workplace investigations, grievances, complaints and disciplinary processes;
  • Provide expert advice on performance, conduct, attendance and workplace conflict matters;
  • Partner with leaders to deliver fair, practical and compliant employee outcomes;
  • Support organisational change initiatives, consultation requirements and employment disputes;
  • Support to develop and maintain ER documentation, templates, governance and compliance frameworks;
  • Develop tools to analyse workplace trends and insights, and recommend proactive solutions to reduce risk and improve people practices;
  • Coach leaders and People Advisory teams to build capability and consistency across the business.

What you will bring

 

  • 5+ years' experience in Employee Relations, Workplace Relations, HR Business Partnering or a related field;
  • Demonstrated experience managing ER cases and workplace investigations;
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreements;
  • Strong reporting and analytics skills;
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, mining, resources or other operational environments;
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills;
  • Sound judgement, resilience and ability to manage sensitive matters professionally;
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach to workplace challenges;
  • Passion for developing leaders and creating positive workplace outcomes.
