About the role


The Radar Assembly & Integration Technician role is responsible for assembling ODS products and components by hand in accordance with work orders and assembly drawings, as well as packing finished goods and preparing completed assemblies for freighting to ensure they are safely and accurately dispatched.

This position is based at the GroundProbe Orica office in Windsor, Brisbane and is a full-time, onsite (RTO) role with standard working hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

What you will be doing


This Radar Assembly & Integration Technician role focuses on assembling and testing GroundProbe radar systems and components in line with engineering drawings, work instructions, and production requirements, while supporting the investigation and resolution of assembly or test issues through structured fault finding.

You will support new product introductions, design changes, and non standard builds, and contribute to continuous improvements in build quality, efficiency, safety, and repeatability, while maintaining accurate documentation and managing work in progress, tools, and materials.

Success in the role requires adaptability, a strong focus on safety and quality, clear communication, and effective teamwork, along with a willingness to learn, take feedback, and build technical capability to a high standard.

What you will bring

 

  • 1+ years’ experience in production, assembly, or a similar hands‑on technical role.
  • Practical experience using mechanical and/or electrical tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and work from drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Formal qualifications are beneficial but not essential.
