About the role

The Material Handler plays a critical role in supporting GroundProbe's supply chain and production operations by ensuring the availability of materials needed to meet business and customer requirements. Based at the Windsor warehouse in Brisbane, this position is responsible for coordinating material planning activities, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring stock levels are effectively managed to support uninterrupted production and operational efficiency.

Working closely with production, procurement, and supply chain stakeholders, the Material Handler oversees material movements, replenishment activities, and system transactions to ensure inventory accuracy and visibility across the business. The role contributes to the timely delivery of products and services by optimizing material availability, supporting production schedules, and maintaining high service standards for both internal stakeholders and external customers.

What you will be doing

Based at the GroundProbe Windsor warehouse in Brisbane, the role is responsible for managing material transactions within ERP systems, overseeing cycle counts and stocktakes, maintaining KANBAN and consumable inventory programs, and ensuring inventory remains accurate, traceable, and readily available to support production and customer requirements.

The position also works closely with procurement, planning, warehouse, and business stakeholders to resolve stock discrepancies, investigate shortages, and optimize inventory performance through effective stock control practices.

In addition, the Material Handler supports broader supply chain, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives by coordinating the resolution of non-conformances, engineering changes, and material-related issues with both internal teams and external suppliers. The role conducts physical inventory verification across the main warehouse and third-party storage locations, contributes to excess and obsolete inventory reduction efforts, and identifies opportunities to improve material flow and operational efficiency.

As an active member of the Windsor site team, the Material Handler champions safe work practices, participates in risk management and KPI reporting activities, supports daily operational communications, and fosters a collaborative culture aligned with GroundProbe and Orica’s values.

  • Experience using ERP systems (e.g., D365/AX) for inventory transactions and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing stock and system data.
