About the role
We are excited to announce that we are recruiting for an Assembly Technician to join our high performing production team at our Global Head Offices in Windsor, Brisbane. The role, working Monday to Friday (08:00 – 16:30) amongst an inclusive, friendly, and supportive team.
The Assembly Technician is a hands-on production floor based role reporting to our Operations Specialist. The role provides the opportunity to learn assembly across our full product suite. You will be working in a small team and technically supported by a leading hand. You will be part of our production team, charged with building and assembling radars and scanners which are used across the globe in some of the world's most iconic and largest mining and infrastructure projects.
GroundProbe’s products perform safety critical monitoring in mines and high levels of accuracy and quality are key to this role. It requires strong assembly skills using minor hand tools, need to perform quality check points; reporting and repairing component parts for return to the inventory system.
What you will be doing
- Complete all assigned production related tasks, safely, accurately, efficiently with a focus of quality. These tasks are to be completed in accordance with the production standards presented by the Company;
- Complete equipment shipment preparation tasks for both air and sea freight as directed;
- Participate in continuous improvement and process enhancement team discussions to continually look for smarter ways to operate;
- Complete the formal testing and sign off processes accurately and diligently;
- Progress through the skills matrix which offers career pathway, improved competency across the product suite and validation of achievement;
- Assist Engineering Staff and Project Managers with any required implementation of new products;
- Provide feedback to the Operations Specialist on production suitability of a product or process.
What you will bring
- Trade or engineering qualification advantageous but not critical;
- Prior mechanical and or electrical experience;
- 3 + years production experience in a similar role;
- Able to apply and document test, inspection, and assembly processes accurately and in detail.
- Read schematics and drawings;
- Demonstrated ability to use electric and mechanical tools.
