About the role

The Operator (Packaged and Bulk ANE, ANFO) undertakes the processes/system associated with Packaged and Bulk ANE, ANFO production to the extent of their skill and competence and operates the manufacturing facilities safely, efficiently, and effectively to address production and distribution requirements and provide a quality service in the manufacture of Packaged and Bulk ANE, ANFO to our customers in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.

What you will be doing

  • Maintaining safe working practices to ensure no injury to self or others 
  • Ensure equipment and plant is in good order by regular inspection 
  • Carrying out housekeeping tasks as instructed by supervisor 
  • Promptly reporting all unsafe working conditions and accidents to Supervisor 
  • Ensuring minimum damage to the environment through waste minimization and control 
  • Wearing all PPE as required for specific tasks 
  • Ensuring all emergency equipment and First Aid kits are complete. 
  • Active participation in Safety Meetings, Toolbox Talks and in Mining Services safety program  

What you will bring

  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a dangerous goods/bulk explosives/heavy industry/process plant environment required
  • Ideally must be within 25 km of Blackie AB

Salary to be determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
