About The Role – Plant Operator (Blackie AB)

 

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Plant Operator at our Blackie AB facility focused on  the processes/system associated with bulk explosives production.  This position provides quality service in the manufacture of bulk explosive products to our customers in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.

What you will be doing

•    Manufactures products by monitoring the process, the product, the quality and raw materials
•    Reports all non-conformances to the Shift Leaders.
•    Reports to leadership if the product does not conform to requirements.
•    Participates in corrective action investigations.

What you will bring

 

•    Ability to cross train to learn multiple functions in the production process
•    Operates manufacturing equipment and site vehicles safely and efficiently
•    Conduct quality control testing and maintain high standards
•    Assist with plant admin, record keeping and inventory
•    Actively participate in safety program and maintain a safe working environment

 

Role dimensions

•    Work Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off, 12 hour shifts
•    Physical Requirements: Must be able to safely move 50 pounds

Your qualifications

•    High School diploma or equivalent
•    1-2 years plant or manufacturing experience
•    Class 1 license is a plus

Compensation  

 

•    Hourly Rate $32/hour CAD

 

(Salary to be determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
