About The Role – 36492 – Class 1 Driver - 7 on/7 off rotation, (Blackie, Alberta)

 

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Class 1 Driver within our Orica Canada team focused on  undertaking the processes/system associated with Packaged and Bulk ANE, ANFO production to the extent of their skill and competency.  In this role you will be expects to operate the manufacturing equipment and facilities safely, efficiently and effectively to address production and distribution requirements and provide a quality service in the manufacture of Packaged and Bulk ANE, ANFO to our customers in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.

What you will be doing

 

•    Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment and vehicles 
•    Ensure safety for yourself and your team—active participation in safety programs 
•    Deliver products to customers and depots, meeting demand schedules 
•    Perform quality control testing and maintain high standards 
•    Support plant administration, stocktaking, and record-keeping

What you will bring

 

•    Valid Class 1 Driver’s License
•    2+ years’ experience in commercial driving with experience with dangerous goods, bulk explosives, heavy industry, or process plant
•    Ideally located within 25 km of Blackie, AB

Salary to be determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
