About the role

Orica’s digital solutions strategy is focused on delivering an increasing range of digital products and solutions, to support the digitisation & improvement of mining operations. The purpose of this role is to contribute to building customer relationships and lead technology initiatives focussed on delivering measurable value to customers, through demonstrating excellence in digital software, technologies and communications. 

What you will be doing

  • Safety Leadership: Promote and model safe work practices; follow Orica’s safety procedures.
  • Data Integration & Collaboration: Integrate customer data with Orica systems; help clients use data for insights.
  • Business Intelligence: Build BI dashboards and turn customer needs into actionable data solutions.
  • Cybersecurity Compliance: Support cybersecurity processes and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Customer Enablement: Guide customers on data integration and analytics; provide training and support.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify ways to improve integration processes and stay current with new technologies.

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience in data integration projects, ideally with mining process data.
  • Hands-on experience with big data technologies and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Experience working with APIs, ETL tools, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
