About the role

 

We are excited to announce an opening for a talented Specialist - Field Support who has strong operational experience in mining and mobile fleet management. 

 

This role involves servicing and maintaining MMU chassis in Africa, ensuring that all plant and operating equipment are properly maintained, repaired, and kept operational. The goal is to provide blasting products and services to customers in line with contractual obligations. The Specialist will also assist in delivering high-quality explosive services in a safe and environmentally conscious manner, while managing and ensuring compliance with the Maintenance Management System. This position reports to the Operations Lead - Maintenance.

What you will be doing

 

  • Provide customer support for Bulk plants, MMUs, and pumps during field visits or dispatches;
  • Identify and resolve errors or technical issues.
  • Generate timely and detailed service reports.
  • Oversee Maintenance Management processes and documentation.
  • Adhere to all company procedures and protocols.
  • Work with the technical team and share information across the organization.

What you will bring

 

  • Technical qualification and trade certificate (Mechanical/Electrical).
  • Over 5 years of field service experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in heavy industry, preferably with Volvo, MAN, or Renault trucks (MMU support).
  • Ability to manage service calls and diagnose problems from non-technical descriptions.
  • Mechanical and electrical experience.
  • Willingness to travel regularly in Africa.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
  • Familiarity with mobile tools and applications.
  • Certain level of physical ability.
