Join a high‑profile global digital technology team driving the rollout and commercialisation of next‑generation OREPro solutions across West Africa.

 

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Geologist – Digital to support the introduction, implementation, and optimisation of Orica’s Blast Modelling and digital geology technologies.

 

This role offers the opportunity to influence product development, support customers in production geology, and contribute to a major strategic digital transformation program shaping the future of mining technology.

What you will be doing

The Senior Geologist ensures that Orica’s Blast Modelling suite of technologies are introduced and represented professionally to the mining industry.

 

The role includes the following responsibilities:

 

Identification and implementation of systems, processes, and procedures for scalable release of new solutions to Orica’s markets across EMEA.

 

Project management of various workstreams required for the overall program, including:  

 

  • Co-ordination of customer projects and opportunities

 

  • Co-ordination of daily tasks and business priorities

 

  • Execution of market analysis, technical solutions, and quality consultation

 

Risk identification and implementation of mitigation strategies

 

Reporting and communicating business status to group stakeholders

 

Co-ordinating 3rd party technology providers and/or consultants

 

Provide input into an overall development roadmap, support models, and proposition development

What you will bring

Production geology and grade control experience (geostatistics, resource modelling, resource estimation, and reconciliation) in multiple hard rock mining environments

 

Possesses a strong technology competency with the ability to manage data, models, and modern software applications.

 

Project management experience

 

Bi-lingual English and French an advantage

 

Customer relationship management experience

 

Technical writing and presentation skills

 

Office and field-based training and mentoring experience

 

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Role dimensions

Based in Ghana 

 

EMEA regional with a focus on West Africa 

 

Must be able to travel internationally to remote locations when required, estimated travel of 30-50%.

Your qualifications

Degree in Geology, Geoscience and/or Digital qualification
