About the role
We are delighted to announce that we are looking for a Legal Secretary to join our team in Accra, Ghana.
In this key role, you will work closely with business leaders and legal professionals, contributing to criticalprojects that drive compliance, governance, and legal excellence across multiple entities in Africa. You’ll enjoyopportunities for cross-functional collaboration with various departments, helping to shape and strengthenOrica’s governance standards throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). What you will be doing
- Coordinate corporate governance activities and support legal entities across Africa to maintain compliance with local statutory requirements.
- Prepare and manage board and shareholder resolutions, meeting minutes, powers of attorney, and other corporate documentation.
- Maintain statutory records, company registers, and governance databases, ensuring information remains accurate and up to date.
- Liaise with government authorities, regulators, auditors, banks, and internal stakeholders regarding legal entity administration and filings.
- Support governance audits, compliance reviews, director appointments, and corporate secretarial projects across the region.
What you will bring
- Proven experience in a Legal Secretary, Company Secretarial, Corporate Governance, or Senior Administrative role.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance principles, statutory compliance requirements, and legal documentation management.
- Experience working within a multinational or highly regulated business environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills in English; French language skills will be an advantage.
