About the role
What you will be doing
- Demonstrates and instils a fundamental commitment to all SHE standards.
- Identifies and evaluates all the major hazards of operations, as well as participate in critical controls and risk mitigation activities.
- Acts as a role model in personal SH&E-related behaviours.
- Contributes to the incidents (including process safety incidents) investigation and participate in the action plan implementation to reinforce a Safety Culture at Plants.
- Defines, documents and maintains the Quality and MPI strategy and procedures
- Develops and implements solutions to close any compliance gaps related to major hazard controls and quality issues and ensure that all proposed modifications are safe by assessing and approving or rejecting all relevant Change Notices.
- Assures that product provided is fit to purpose, consistent, and meets internal and external requirements including legal requirements and customer expectations.
- Develops cost effective solutions in quality, safety and process performance ensuring that the effort and cost of achieving engineering safety and quality is commensurate with risk.
- Guarantees an adequate and effective communication with Customers and Internal and External stakeholders regarding complaints, quality issues, expectations, delivery standards and actions to solve each nonconformity.
- Develops and implements a strategy (training plan, training materials, techniques, tools, Alerts & Snippets systems) as the SME where applicable (Subject Matter Expert) in order to assure that others (Supervisors / Operators) improve their knowledge, competence and expertise in Quality and Process Improvement (LEAN, Six Sigma) and become Quality and Process Improvement practitioner.
- Leads the site in process improvement (MPI) strategies and One Manufacturing implementation, developing and implementing LEAN & Six Sigma thinking methodologies (5S, Kaizen, A3s, VSM, work & time studies, etc.) across Manufacturing process.
- Assists the Site Manager on improvement idea generation and execution in collaboration with production plant owners, to guarantee all personal is aware of performance and information is showed in a standard manner through the plant.
- Develops and maintains knowledge and skills by networking and collaboration with other relevant Quality and MPI Leaders globally and regionally.
- Manages and supports implementation of Quality Management System according to ISO 9001.
What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
- More than two years of experience working in the manufacturing industry
- Knowledgeable in technical &/or functional business system applications required for tasks (i.e. SAP, MS Office, analytics/visualisation tools etc.)
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Has strong organizational skills
