About the role

 

It's an exciting time at Orica. Our Digital Solutions business is continually developing cutting-edged technologies which are changing the Mining and Infrastructure sectors.

 

Due to this significant growth within our Digital Solutions business, we are delighted to anncouce that we are inviting applicants for the exciting opportunity of Technician Technology. 

 

Working along side our friendly and supportie team in our offices in Tewkesbury, United Kindom, the Technician Technology will be part of our expanding electronic design and manufacturing team.
 

 

 

 

 

 

What you will be doing

 

  • The role will include the assembly of electronic products including surface mount PCB assembly, light electromechanical component assembly, cutting and rounting of wiring looms, and hand soldering of electronic inrerconnections, kit assembly and packing; 
  • Assist in the manufacture and assembly of the Company's electromechanical survey instruments, used to survey directional boreholes;
  • Assist with methods, products/customer development Utilises a flexible, responsive multi-skilled approach in dealing with work unit/customer/plant issues;
  • Complete QES quality approach to all work Documents all work Provides list of reports.

What you will bring

 

  • Must have good hand soldering skills and be able to produce small items to a high quality by following detailed work instructions;
  • Must be self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervisiton; 
  • IPC J-STD001 Joint Insdustry Standard certification from IPC would be beneficial but not essential as in-house training will provided.
