About the role

 

We are currently seeking an Analyst - Accounts Payable to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for leading the team and optimizing the performance of Orica's Global Business Services workstream. Engaging with all levels of Orica staff and external stakeholders, this position aims to enhance workstream processes and deliver exceptional service quality to countries within scope.

What you will be doing

 

People Leadership

 

  • Develop people and ensure that all workstream employees are properly trained. Set up coaching/performance improvement plans and identifying/implementing development opportunities. (Focus on Supervisors)
  • Drive and implement GBS strategies

 

Process Leadership

 

  • Manage overall workstream, ensure alignment with supervisors including appropriate workload allocation for any operational or continuous improvement task across teams to ensure seamless delivery of service, including future pipeline.
  • Drive, manage and support process improvement projects.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures for all processes.
  • Ensure compliance to internal control standards.
  • Manage incoming transitions by ensuring successful integration of processes into current operations.

 

Operations

 

  • Ensure that all KPIs are met
  • Review and Sign-off internal and external operational performance reporting to include leave and overtime, issues/escalations, KPIs and people concerns.
  • Review timelines and accuracy of invoices, VMD creation, CMS processing.
  • Produce operational and executive reports.
  • Correspond with vendors and respond to escalation
  • Drive smooth month/year end closing for accounts payable.
  • Review supporting documentation for audits
  • Attendance Review (Supervisor - level)
  • Day-to-day management
  • Perform/Manage management and stakeholders meeting.
  • One on One with respected team
  • Coaching (Supervisory level)
  • Huddle meetings within the team
  • Weekly Meetings
  • Productivity Review
  • SOP Review/Touchpoint transition team
  • Support on process questions -
  • Supervise and perform in the completion of projects.
  • Review daily productivity allocation
  • Ensure stakeholder needs against agreed SLAs are met.
  • Lead and facilitate monthly stakeholder meeting with key regional contacts for a purpose to gather feedback and agreed action plans.

 

Ad Hoc Duties

 

  • Act as back up for Service Delivery Manager as required.
     

What you will bring

 

 

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant finance/accounting experience in a large corporate organization, including 1 year of coaching/teaching.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in finance/general accounting/accounts receivable/accounts payable/cash management in a large corporate organization, including 5 years of direct people management.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, internal policies, and practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in both conversational and business English (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in presentation skills and experience in implementing financial process improvement initiatives.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, integrity, accountability, and problem-solving skills.
